Great spot in Manila's Chinatown for a quick snack! We came here for some bites while in Binondo, as Quik Snack was recommended on a food blog that I read before visiting Manila. It's a little hard to find, since the alley Quik Snack is located in is small, narrow and a little dark. But once you find the alley, there's a huge Quik Snack sign, signaling you're on your way! We walked in and were able to be seated immediately. The place was pretty busy with locals and tourists. It's on the smaller side, but saw that they can reserve tables for groups. We ordered the Beef Miki Noodles and the Fresh Lumpia, which were both recommended by our server. For a drink I also ordered an Iced Coffee. Coffee came out first and was surprised to find that the Iced Coffee had vanilla ice cream and coffee jelly in it, so was on the sweeter side. I'm not big on sweet coffees, so thought it was fine, but not something I'd order again. But the food is the reason why you come here! The Beef Miki Noodles were awesome! I loved how much peanut flavor you get with the noodles and it was sauteed well in its sauce, which was pepper-y and flavorful. Beef pieces were tender and loved how much green onion came with, adding more flavor! It was also a good size for sharing. The Fresh Lumpia was a nice and different snack! Unlike other lumpias which are usually fried, the Fresh Lumpia is not fried and is much bigger in size, like a mini burrito. They also cut it in half, making it easy to share, though you'll not want to! It had a ton of filling of ground pork and veggies inside, so you definitely get your money's worth. Both of the snacks we ordered were yummy, and would recommend both items. Glad to have found Quik Snack while in Binondo, as it serves Chinese-Filipino food, with a ton of different snack options and is huge on flavor! It's also very affordable and a good eatery for sharing, especially since you'll want to try multiple items from here.

Correct the spelling. Quik not quick. A great place for almost any menu item. Sad not open for dinner but off the normal food street by vendors by stationary roll.

I've been exploring the ins and outs of Binondo with friends and chanced upon the newly renovated (a year ago this May, the staff told me) branch of Quik Snack on Carvajal St., where there is an open street market all foodie fans of Binondo should visit. This restaurant is in fact included on Ivan Man Dy's food tour (the Binondo Wok tour). It is smack in the middle of the street, which feels more like a shaded but neat and clean alleyway, which adds to its charm. The restaurant is now being run by the third and fourth generation. The daughter of the original owner, a stately elderly lady, will usually be found sitting near the cashier's desk. The regulars will order this restaurant's most popular Fujian-style staples - their misua noodle soup; the lumpia (or 'maki'), which comes fresh or fried; and their pansit. I've had a smattering of dishes with a big group very recently, which included some tasty pork with salted fish and tofu (tauhu) and their stuffed (relyenong) shrimp. On a subsequent visit, we also tried their beef chami noodles, made zingy with their satay sauce, a customized flavor for the chami at a mere P15; their classic pork, tofu, and mushroom empanadas, molded into beautiful braided mounds; and chilled white fungus with dates in a sweet syrupy soup, good for people recovering from illness, I am told. Drinks are very good and reasonable, included freshly squeezed lemonade and coffee. The staff look like they've been there for ages and handle the brisk lunchtime crowd well, so don't be afraid to come during a busy time. It gets quite hot in Binondo, and this will be a good place to hide in. I can't wait to try their version of kiampong rice.

One of Chinatown's hidden jewels, Quik Snack is one of the best places to dine for some clean, cool, and authentic Chinoy cuisine. Yup, Chinoy cuisine is way different from the Chinese restaurant. Chinoy restaurants serve meals that has this unique Filipino taste: a mixture of sweet and salty food. What I always love about Quik Snack is their lemonade. This is really fresh, and not the typical lemonade drinks in restaurants. The sweet syrup compliments the tangy taste of lemon. It is a great drink as it is being contrasted with the savoury meals of this small restaurant. A must try is their empanada. It has a different filling than your ordinary empanada, the sauce and spices would remind us of traditional Chinese food but the ingredients and saltiness reminds us of Filipino food. The fried tofu with satay sauce and the sate beef mi is to heavenly great!!!! It is yummy and delicious!!!

Fresh lumpia - it's the perfect comfort food, because it's neither fattening nor is it too flavorful. It's just right. It's filled with vegetables, which will make any rabbit happy, but it's not too bland that omnivores will turn up their noses at it. And with that rich, brown, whatever-the-hell-that-is sauce, it's an amazing snack. And where do you get lumpia as a snack? At Quick Snack, of course! And that's not the only they have on the menu. I'd recommend their pork empanadas (a very Tsinoy twist to a Spanish favorite) and their surprisingly spicy tokwa. Quick Snack is along Carvajal, and there are a lot of other restaurants here, so lack of choices won't be a problem.
